മോദി ചൈനയില്‍: ഉറ്റുനോക്കി ലോകം

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday arrived in China to attend the three-day BRICS Summit, which he hoped would support the agenda for a stronger partnership among the member countries, amid strain in Sino- India ties over a host of issues.
In a statement on Saturday, the prime minister said he was looking forward to productive discussions and positive outcomes at the BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) Summit in Xiamen city, building upon the results of last year's Goa Summit between him and Chinese President Xi Jinping.


ബ്രിക്സ് ഉച്ചകോടിയില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നിനായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദി ചൈനയിലെത്തി. അതിര്‍ത്തിയില്‍ നിന്നും ഇന്ത്യയും ചൈനയും സൈന്യത്തെ പിന്‍വലിച്ചതിനു ശേഷം ദോക്ല പ്രശ്നം പരിഹരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. അതിനു ശേഷം ആദ്യമായാണ് നരേന്ദ്രമോദി ചൈനയിലെത്തുന്നത്. ബ്രിക്സ് ഉച്ചകോടിക്കായെത്തിയ മോദിയും ചൈനീസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഷി ചിന്‍പിങ്ങും കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തുമോ എന്ന് ഉറ്റുനോക്കുകയാണ് ലോകരാഷ്ട്രങ്ങള്‍. ഇതിനു മുന്‍പ് ജൂലൈയില്‍ ജര്‍മ്മനിയില്‍ വെച്ചു നടന്ന ജി-20 ഉച്ചകോടിയിലാണ് ഇരുവരും തമ്മില്‍ കണ്ടുമുട്ടിയത്.
അതേസമയം ചൈനയിലെത്തിയ നരേന്ദ്രമോദിക്ക് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വംശജര്‍ ഊഷ്മളമായ സ്വീകരണമാണ് നല്‍കിയത്. ഷിയാമെനിലുള്ള ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വംശജരുമായി മോദി കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തി. ഷി ചിന്‍പിങ്ങിനു പുറമേ റഷ്യന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് വ്ളാഡിമിര്‍ പുടിനുമായും മോദി ചര്‍ച്ച നടത്തുമെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍.
