Gal Gadot knew her beauty would take her places, but when she was a pageant queen, her looks got her a little further than she desired.
So, good thing she was able to use her smarts and sense of humor to get out of it.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, she told Rolling Stone about winning Miss Israel… She tells the magazine, “I told myself… They’re going to fly us to Europe, and I’m gonna get to tell my grandchildren that Grandmom did the Miss Israel thing. Little did I know that I would win.”
With her crown came a future in the Miss Universe competition.
Gal tells Rolling Stone, “I knew that I did not want to win Miss Universe. It wasn’t my thing… For an 18-year-old, it looked like too much responsibility.”
So, Gal reportedly wore the wrong clothing on purpose and also pretended to not be able to speak English in order to get out of it. She says she “victoriously lost.”
After all, there have been a lot more Miss Universe’s than Wonder Women, so, obviously Gal made the best choice.
