A yet-to-be unveiled note of Rs 50 denomination is doing several rounds on social media. However, there is no official word on these images that have gone viral. In December 2016, the Reserve Bank of India had said that it will issue Rs 50 and Rs 20 denominations with numerals in ascending size in the number panels. However, a picture of Rs 50 that is doing rounds on social media is different. The note looks like in a paled turquoise in colour and it has Mahatma Gandhi series 2005. The note also bears the signature of RBI governor Urjit Patel.
