Rainbows over Australia: Same-sex couples may rejoice soon
  • 7 years ago
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull announced he would hold a national vote in Australia to decide whether same-sex should be legalized or not. The Liberal National Coalition attempted the legalization back in 2016, but it was narrowly rejected. Turnbull confirmed that if a rejection happened again, a national postal vote would take place instead. Same-sex advocates say a voting process is unnecessary and expensive. A post vote would begin September 12.
