Amidst the ongoing protest of the Tamil Nadu farmers at Jantar Mantar , one of the farmers committed suicide by consuming sleeping pills in an excessive amount . The drought hit farmers have become victims of debt and poverty . Their livelihood has been disrupted and survival is becoming difficult.
