Jared Kushner: Navigating the White House
  • 7 years ago
Jared Kushner has been thrust into the spotlight ever since his father-in-law and President Donald Trump named him senior adviser. Despite coming from a Democratic family, Kushner elected to take the position in the Republican White House. During the election process, Kushner helped with merchandising, crafting speeches, social media outreach and the selection of Indiana governor Mike Pence as the vice presidential candidate. When it came time to enter the White House, it was Kushner's family holdings that came into question. Kushner is currently under investigation by the special counsel looking into Russia meddling in the 2016 election. He's under scrutiny due to a June 2016 meeting that involved him, Donald Trump Jr. and a couple of Russian parties over possible Hillary Clinton blackmail. In late July, Kushner released a statement saying that he didn't collude with Russia.
