Never before: Saint Petersburg's bridges lift in daylight for Navy Day rehearsals

Russia will mark Navy Day on July 30 with military parades all over Russia. The celebration dates back to the Soviet era, having been established in 1939. It was dissolved in 1980 but reinstated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2003.
