Sri Lanka Cricket has announced the 15 man squad for the first Test against India. The first Test of the three-match Test series will be played in Galle starting from July 26. Regular skipper Dinesh Chandimal missed out from the squad due to an injury. In his absence, veteran bowler Rangana Herath has been named as the stand in skipper of the team. Upul Tharanga, Nuwan Pradeep, and Angelo Mathews are in the team. The core of the squad remains the same with Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis, and Danushka Gunathilaka being the top order batsmen.
