Pro Wrestling Heir, Pilot Rescued at Sea After Emergency Helicopter Landing

An NYPD rescue crew rescued Shane McMahon, son of WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, and the pilot from the ocean after their helicopter performed a “controlled landing” in the sea off the coast of Jones Island Beach, New York, on July 19.McMahon and the pilot ended up in the water with flotation devices, where they were picked up by an NYPD rescue helicopter, scuba team, and boats from the Suffolk County Marine Bureau and the US Coast Guard Fire Island Station, according to a news report. McMahon tweeted, “I’d like to thank the man upstairs for looking out this morning & thanks to pilot Mario, Suffolk Co. Marine Bureau & Fire Island Coast Guard.”No injuries were reported.
