Russia Strikes IS Targets in Syria With Newest Cruise Missiles

The Russian Ministry of Defense released footage on July 6, which it described as showing strikes the day before involving recently developed Kh-101 cruise missiles against Islamic State targets in Syria.Russian strategic bombers fired the missiles from a distance of 1,000 kilometers (621.37 miles), the Russian military said. Three ammunition depots and a command post were destroyed, it said, near the border between Hama and Homs provinces.The attack struck two days before presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump were due to meet at the G20 summit in Hamburg.The video released via the ministry shows locations identifiable as on the Hama side of the border with Homs.
