Huge Fire Rips Through Market in Tajik Capital

A fire tore through parts of the largest market in the capital of Tajikistan on Sunday, July 2. An estimated 285 stops were destroyed by the blaze in Dushanbe, but no injuries were reported.The fire was battled by over 2,000 emergency workers and 28 firefighting teams. Authorities believe the fire was caused by an electrical fault.A similar fire caused major damage to the same market in 2012.Footage from RFE shows the devastation at the site on July 3.
