Ingredients:
To make Dalia: 1 cup Dalia- గోధుమ రవ 2 cups water- నీళ్ళు 1 tbsp Oil- నూనె Salt to taste- ఉప్పు
Upma:
1 tbsp oil- నూనె 1 tsp mustard seeds- ఆవాలు few curry leaves- కరివేపాకు 1 tbsp sesame seeds- నువ్వులు 1 dry red chilly- ఎర్ర మిరపకాయలు 1 green chilly- పచ్చిమిర్చి 1 tbsp ginger- అల్లం 2 tbsp urad dal- మినపప్పు 2 tbsp chanaa dal- శెనగపప్పు 1 onion- ఉల్లిపాయ 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, beans, peas, potatoes)- మిక్స్ కూరగాయలు 1 1/2 cups water- నీళ్ళు 1 tsp salt- ఉప్పు Lime juice to taste- నిమ్మ రసం
Coconut chutney:
1/2 cup grated coconut- తురిమిన కొబ్బరి 1/ cup Yogurt- పెరుగు Add pinch of salt- ఉప్పు 1 tbsp oil- నూనె 1 tsp mustard seeds- ఆవాలు 1 dry red chilly- ఎర్ర మిరపకాయలు Few curry leaves- కరివేపాకు 1 green chilly chopped- పచ్చిమిర్చి
Method:
To make coconut chutney: - In a small bowl, add the grated coconut and the yogurt and mix them well together. - Then add salt to taste and water and mix it well together till they are moist and keep it aside. - Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds, curry leaves and whole red chilli and stir them. - Add this to the coconut chutney that you kept aside.
To make dalia upma: - Heat oil in a pan and once the oil is hot, add the mustard seeds, white sesame seeds, chopped ginger, whole green chillies, curry leaves and whole red chilli and stir these ingredients together. - Add the chana dal and udad dal (soaked earlier) to the above ingredients and roast them well. - When the dal turns slightly golden in colour, add the chopped onion and stir well. - Add the chopped vegetables - green peas, potatoes, beans,cauliflower and carrots. - Add salt to taste and water and cover the pan with a lid until the vegetables cook and turn soft. - Once the vegetables are cooked, add the dali
