Shaf Keshavjee is director of the Toronto Lung Transplant Program, surgeon-in-chief at the University Health Network, a professor at the University of Toronto, and a scientist at the UHN’s McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine. He currently researches molecular diagnostics and gene-therapy strategies to repair organs and engineer superior organs for transplantation. Shaf has served on the boards of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation and the Canadian Society of Transplantation. He is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and has received numerous honours, including two Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals, the Order of Ontario, and the Order of Canada.
