Lewis Lapham is the founder and editor of Lapham’s Quarterly and the former editor of Harper’s Magazine. He wrote thirteen books, including Money and Class in America, Theater of War, and The Wish for Kings, and worked on the documentary The American Ruling Class, which frequently screens on college campuses. In 2007, he was inducted into the American Society of Magazine Editors’ Hall of Fame, and he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
