Assam floods : Over a month and people still in distress | Oneindia News

The flood situation in Assam remained unchanged with more than one lakh people affected in eight districts where five rivers are flowing above the danger level.Altogether 1,380 hectare crop land have been submerged by the deluge with the worst hit being Lakhimpur district. For nearly a month, the area has been ravaged but help has not come their way. The government however claims they are helping the victims. Nearly one lakh people are affected by flash floods in six districts across Assam.
