Karnataka Home Ministry's advisor Kempaiah met with Ajay Nagabhushan, Shikha's husband who is the DC of Mandya and tried to negotiate terms in the Marigowda case. However Ajay Nagabhushan has denied the meeting. It is said that even Chief Secretary Arvind Jadhav has called Shikha for a meeting in Bangalore during which he is likely to try to talk Shikha into withdrawing the case agaisnt Marigowda.
