Lorde's 'Foundation Rocked' After Haters Targeted Her Appearance

In 2013 Lorde exploded on the scene with that song "Royals," but despite her no.1 status on the charts, online trolls tried to rip any crown from her ego.
The New Zealand native tells NME about haters attacking her physical appearance Online, saying "it rocked my foundations and could have fucked me, you know? I remember being made aware of my looks and my body in a way that I had never been."
Due to her sudden rise in fame, Lorde reportedly believes some people immediately tried to tear her down.
She tells NME, "they were like 'fuck her, she's got really far apart eyes.' I remember being like 'whoa! How did I get all this way without knowing I had far-apart eyes? Just weird shit like that."
Lorde's fame has since mellowed out, which she reportedly says is "cool for me. I suck at being famous. And that's fine."
Still, she has a new album, a couple Grammys, and a nice sense of confidence and comfort with herself. Sorry haters, we think she won.
