'Spider-Man: Homecoming' promises new trilogy for franchise

On Tuesday, the new Spidey Tom Holland confirmed that 'Homecoming' will be the start of a new trilogy for the web-slinging hero. “It’s going to be an exciting couple of movies. Yeah, there’ll be Spider-Man 2 and 3. It won’t be Homecoming 2 and 3.” Holland told AlloCiné Holland is set to appear in 'Avengers; Infinity War' before the next installment of 'Homecoming' in 2019. The new series is under Sony Pictures, which plans to make the next film about villain Venom, who will be portrayed by Tom Hardy. Marvel Studios Chief Kevin Feige elaborated more on Venom to AlloCiné: “For now, there is no plan for Venom in the [Marvel Cinematic Universe] MCU.It’s a Sony project.” 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' will be released on July 7, 2017.
