US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson gave a brief statement on the release from North Korean custody of US citizen Otto Warmbier on June 14.Appearing before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Tillerson said Warmbier was on his way back to the US and that the US was working with North Korean authorities to secure the release of three other US citizens in detention.Tillerson said he would not comment on Warmbier’s physical state; there have been reports the University of Virginia student was in a coma when he was released.
