There were remarkable scenes in the rebel-held town of Maraat al-Numan, Idlib, on June 9, as locals gathered in protest in front of a group of fighters from the Sunni Islamist rebel group Tahrir al-Sham, calling on them to leave the town.Fighters with Tahrir al-Sham, who were confronted by the angry crowd, fired towards them, wounding two people, according to local media.A woman at the protest who speaks in the video says Tahrir al-Sham arrested one of her sons and killed another. The protest came in response to an outbreak of violence in the town between rival rebel groups the previous day. Tahrir al-Sham, in response to what it claimed was the targeting of its fighters, attacked the headquarters of the Free Syrian Army-affiliated Brigade 13, killing an officer and four fighters.
