Tom Cruise: Top Gun 2 Might Have a Volleyball Scene

Tom Cruise playing volleyball in Top Gun was a big deal in 1986… and it sounds like there will be a whole new crop of fans who will get to experience it for the first time when the sequel hits the screen.
The 54 year old actor was walking the red carpet for his latest flick, The Mummy, when he was asked about the high flying movie.
And he said there’s gonna be very fast jets, an aircraft carrier or two, and there may be a volleyball scene.
He mentioned that he ‘s going to start filming it probably next year. But he did confirm that it’s happening.
But get this: it won’t be called Top Gun 2. He wants it to be called Top Gun: Maverick.
For those of you who don’t know, he played a fighter pilot whose call sign was Maverick, so we guess it kinda makes sense.
