Tom Cruise is confirming that a Top Gun sequel is 100 percent about to take off.
He tells Australia's Sunrise, "Its true, yeah it's true... You know what? I'm going to start filming it probably in the next year. I know, It's happening, it's definitely happening."
Although there have been rumors, Cruise tells the show "You're the first people that I've really said it to... This is going to happen."
Cruise is the age where he'd probably be expected to do more instructing at the Top Gun school than actually flying, but who are we kidding? Yes, there'll probably be some young buck up in those skies, but expect to see Maverick back in a fighter jet too.
It's not like Tom has eased up on the action in the past few decades.
