Nicole Kidman wants to be an inspiration for women who are worried that age will bog them down in Hollywood.
The actress has been killing it lately in the HBO show Big Little Lies and the film Lion, taking home Glamour UK's award for the Best Film Actress.
During Kidman's acceptance speech she reportedly said, "I want to tell all the women out there - it's not over at 40. It's not even over at 50."
The 49-year old actress has experienced a lot of personal success in the last few years, and told the audience, "I'm going to take this as a birthday present. I'm about to turn 50 in two weeks, and I never thought this would be one of my best years."
Her message might be a breath of fresh air to some anxious actresses who have been told by others that ageism plagues Hollywood for female stars.
