Trump is supposedly restarting his search for a new FBI Director

According to CNN, President Trump and the White House are planning to reset its search for a new FBI Director. It was only last week that the president said he was getting close to making a decision on whom he would choose to replace James Comey, whom Trump had fired. Former Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman was reported to be the leading candidate but according an an administration official, Trump now wants to expand the search. Other potential candidates for the position include current acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, former congressman and FBI special agent Mike Rogers and former Homeland Security Advisor under George W. Bush, Fran Townsend.
