Stock Market plummets to dangerously low numbers

U.S. stocks violently fell to the lowest numbers since September on Wednesday. Investors have been scrambling to place antivolatitly bets as the stock market crumbled. “Today we are witnessing a typical flight to safety that comes with fear. On a fundamental level investors are constantly assessing the likelihood of tax reform and regulatory reform into the multiple they put on the market. Whenever more questions arise on timing of these policies, the market tends to sell-off because we add risk. said Ian Winer, head of equities at Wedbush Securities. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is seeing its worst daily numbers since Sept. 13, 2016. The Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 index are looking at its sharpest one-session drop since March 21. The VelocityShares Daily Inverse VIX closed at 9.77, off 7.6% last week, the lowest number it has seen since 1993.
