Nine injured after protest erupts outside of Turkish embassy

On Tuesday, protesters rallied outside of the Turkish embassy after ambassador Tayyip Erdogan met with Trump at the White House. Flint Arthur, protestor Arthur said Erdogan's supporters attacked and injured nine protesters, who were sent to the George Washington University Hospital. Despite the U.S.'s conflicted relations with Russia, Trump praised the ambassador for his country's efforts to end terrorism. A bipartisan group of lawmakers urged Trump to raise concerns over human rights issues in Turkey and he stated that the U.S. would "offer our support to Turkey."
