Wife, relatives held in Atul B.Tapkir suicide case

Two days after Marathi film-maker Atul B. Tapkir’s death, his widow, her cousin and her adopted brothers werearrested on Tuesday on the charges of abetment to suicide.
The arrests have been made on the complaint filed by Bajirao Tapkir, Atul’s father.
Confirming the news, investigating officer R.A. Patel said, “They have been arrested from their residences in Khed and Kondwa areas of the city and charged with Indian Penal Code Sections’ 306, 34 pertaining to abetment to suicide, and common intent”
For the unversed, Tapkir was ‘DholTashe’ co producer who posted a ‘suicide’ note on Facebook before consuming a poisonous substance.
