Aleppo Girl Bana Has Message for President Macron

Bana Alabed, the Aleppo girl who became the face of the conflict in her city via a Twitter account in her name, posted a video on May 7 urging newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron to “do something for the children of the world.”In the video, Bana asks Macron to “think of [children’s] education and life,” and says that “every child must go to school.”Bana was evacuated to Turkey from rebel-occupied eastern Aleppo last December.
