Government intends to pass all important bills, says Venkaiah

Union Minister for Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that the government intends to pass all important bills in the coming session of Parliament and appealed to the Opposition to cooperate with the government in passage of the bills. The 21st Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Friday adopted a “mince-no-words” resolution on the effort to impose a “monolithic” Indian culture defined by a single religion. Reversing its long opposition, India has made a formal proposal to amend the Montreal Protocol to bring phasing down of climate-damaging refrigerant hydrofluorocarbon which is used in air-conditioners, refrigerators and insulating foam, under its ambit. It’s been two days since the daughter of a retired IAS officer from the State filed an FIR alleging that she was raped by her brother-in-law when she was eight months pregnant, but the accused is still at large. In a step taken to empower woman, the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government on Friday inducted 30-year-old V Saritha as the first woman driver of the Delhi Transport Corporation bus service.
