Jim DeMint ousted as Heritage Foundation president

Conservative think tank Heritage Foundation ousted Jim DeMint as president after the board unanimously voted for his resignation. “After a comprehensive and independent review of the entire Heritage organization, the board determined there were significant and worsening management issues that led to a breakdown of internal communications and cooperation,” Thomas A. Saunders III, chairman of the Heritage Foundation’s Board of Trustees. DeMint said the criticism was "puzzling" saying the board praised his work and management. DeMint noted he was proud of his accomplishments such as leading President Trump's transition team.
