The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad must be removed from power to obtain peace. "Getting Assad out is not the only priority. So what we're trying to do is obviously defeat ISIS. Secondly, we don't see a peaceful Syria with Assad in there," Nikki Haley Prior to Tuesday's chemical weapon attack on the rebel-held town of Khan Sheikhoun, Haley said removing Assad was not a priority. Following the Tuesday's incident, President Trump ordered an airstrike against Assad's regime.
