Indian-American jailed for 6 yrs in healthcare fraud

An Indian-American physician was today jailed for nearly six years and ordered to pay over USD 2.2 million in fine for defrauding federal medical insurance programs by inflating and overcharging for healthcare services. Dipak Desai, a 65 yrs old man was sentenced to 71 months in federal prison, three years of supervised release.
