Jayalalithaa seeks Rs. 25,900 crore aid from center for flood affected areas

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa sought over Rs 25,900 crore assistance from the Central government to rehabilitate the hundreds of thousands of people hit by floods. On November 23, Jayalalithaa sent a memorandum to Modi asking for central funding of Rs 8,481 crore towards flood relief and an immediate relief of Rs 2,000 crore.
