Tamil Nadu govt issues heavy rain warning, causes 14 hrs power cut | Oneindia News

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday night issued a warning to fishermen not to venture into the sea. It has warned people of heavy rains saying parts of Tamil Nadu are likely to receive heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours. Rain, which began on Monday due to a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal, continued throughout the day on Tuesday. In the 24-hour period between 8.30am on Monday and 8.30am on Tuesday, the Regional Meteorological Centre recorded 67mm of rain in Chennai.
