Atanu Das finished fifth in the archery rankings with a combined score of 683 at Rio Olympics 2016. Das is the lone male member in the Indian archery team and competed only in the individual section as the men's team had failed to qualify from the World Championship. The two-time World champion Kim Woo-jin topped the qualification round who shot 700, for a world record on the opening day of the XXXI Olympiad.
