CHENGDU, CHINA — A woman attempted to kidnap a two-year-old child from her mother in broad daylight on Sunday afternoon.
A mother was pushing her child in a stroller in the afternoon when a middle-aged woman rushed up and tried to snatch the toddler, the Shanghaiist reported.
After struggling unsuccessfully for 20 seconds to grab the kid, the woman is seen on CCTV footage running off down the street.
The woman was reportedly approached by a group of angry citizens who stopped her from getting away.
Reports then say the failed kidnapper was beaten up. Police eventually arrested the woman and dragged her off.
