Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley abused his power to intimidate staffers to coverup his affair with former political adviser Rebekah Caldwell Mason. According to a 130-page report, Bentley's affair was common knowledge among the Governor's Mansion staff. "Governor Bentley directed law enforcement to advance his personal interests and, in a process characterized by increasing obsession and paranoia, subjected career law enforcement officers to tasks intended to protect his reputation," the report says. The report includes more than 20 witnesses and an overview of 10,000 pages of documents.
