Russia and Iran condemn U.S. strikes in Syria

Iran and Russia, allies of Syrian President Bashar Assad, on Friday condemned the US missile strike on a Syrian airbase. Russian President Vladimir Putin considers the US strike as “aggression against a sovereign state in violation of international norms,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday, according to Russian agencies. The U.S attacked the Syrian base with 59 Tomahawk missiles, in response to a deadly chemical weapons attack that killed over 70 people.
