Kendall Jenner's Disastrous Pepsi Ad Inspired by '60's Photo
  • 7 years ago
It's official: Kendall Jenner's Pepsi ad is so bad that and sparked such misunderstanding that it's already been banned. But, it's was inspired by a commercial from the 60s, not Black Lives Matter protests.

According to TMZ, Kendall's commercial where she offers police a Pepsi during a protest is actually inspired by a situation from 1967 when a woman offered a flower to armed police during a Vietnam war protest.

Since Kendall's generation is more in tune with current events than Vietnam war-era photography, many assumed the commercial was grandstanding and suggesting Kendall solved police brutality with a soft drink... As we know, that's a no fly zone.

TMZ reports that Kendall's commercial was well intended and the company thought it was relevant, but obviously their next spot will probably aim to avoid all controversy.
