Data from US Customs and Border Protection revealed illegal crossings at the US-Mexico border dropped to fewer than 17,000 arrest as of March. Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly credited Trump for the decline in crossings. March marks the fifth straight month of decline and is estimated to be approximately 71% lower than the December 2016 total - 58,478. -- John Kelly Kelly added that the US and Mexico are cooperating, and Mexico is doing their part to prevent illegal crossings at their southern border. According to Kelly, there will not be a physical wall put up, but sensors, drones, and other technologies will take its place.
