On the second anniversary of the Yemeni Civil War, over one hundred thousand Houthi supporters commemorated their takeover of the government on March 26 at a rally in central Sanaa outside the al-Saleh Mosque. The rally was organized by deposed President Ali Abdullah Saleh and his Iranian-backed General People’s Congress (GPC) alongside the current Houthi-led government. Reuters reported that former President Saleh made a brief appearance at the rally, where numerous Houthi leaders hailed the military might of their forces against the Saudi-led coalition which seeks to reinstate the government of President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi.
