A local football team in Scarborough, England, have hit upon a highly unusual, though quite successful, way to defend a corner kick.The Edgehill FC third team have taken to letting their goalkeeper attempt to win the ball while the ten outfield players form a human barrier across the goal line. Video of their unusual tactics in action has been viewed by millions since it was filmed on March 25.
“All players stand on the line and we send the goal keeper out to chase the ball”, Alec Coulson told Storyful. “We have used this tactic probably 10 times this season and haven’t let in a goal in”.
