UK follows US with laptop ban on some flights from Mideast

The United Kingdom has followed the United States in preventing passengers from several muslim-majority countries to take large electronic devices on board. The ban will be imposed in flights to the UK from Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.
The decision is based on intelligence suggesting terror groups could blow up commercial airliners with explosives hidden in consumer items. Transport Secretary Chris Grayling said: "We understand the frustration that these measures may cause and we are working with the aviation industry to minimise any impact."
