On February 28, 2017, Alain Guiraudie gave a masterclass at the IFAL in Mexico, during the FICUNAM Festival, where his latest film Staying Vertical was presented. In front of a full house, he talked for 1 hour and 45 minutes about his esthetic choices, and the aspects of dream, reality, and sex that ripple through his work. "It is an esthetic and political issue to put sex back at the center of love."
