US Marines deployed to fight ISIS in Syria

Hundreds of marines have been deployed to Syria armed with artillery guns, in the ongoing fight against ISIS. While the deployment is only temporary, the decision marks President Trump's leniency to give the Pentagon more power regarding combat. In the past, combat commanders complained about the micromanagement under the previous administration. According to a White House official, the White House is preparing to send troops into Kuwait to fight ISIS there. Pentagon officials sent an outline of their plan to fight ISIS only last month.
