British actor Jason Isaacs will be the new Star Trek captain for the upcoming show, Star Trek: Discovery. Formerly known for playing Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, Isaacs will take on the role as Captain Lorca for the upcoming series. isaacs revealed his role on twitter after posting a picture of the captain's chair. The new Star Trek show will take place a decade before the original series from 1966, and will feature Spock’s father as a main character. Production for Discovery began in January and is expected to be released late summer or early fall.
