Murali Vijay has described the much criticised Pune Pitch as Challenging and not Poor at all. Vijay said, Pune wicket was not poor rather it was a challenging wicket from ball one. We need to play on such wickets at times rather than playing on just flat tracks. Pitches like Pune test your character and technique and its a good thing to play on such tracks, he added. The Pune Test match finished in just 3 days and the pitch was under the scanner for all the wrong reasons. The ICC match referee Chris Broad also rated it as "poor" in his report. India lost the 1st Test with the mammoth margin of 333-runs, which ended their unbeaten streak of 19 Test matches. Now India is ready to forget the humiliating loss and to make a fresh start and lock horns with the Kangaroos in the 2nd Test which will start from 4 March at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
