AT&T retools in battle over unlimited cellphone data plans

AT&T is feeling the heat of competition and as a result has lowered the price of its unlimited data plan from $100 to $90 a month. That price gets you one line with unlimited voice, text and data (guaranteed full-speed data capped at 22GB per billing cycle, then data speeds will be throttled when the network is congested), as well as HD video streaming and 10GB of full speed mobile hotspot per billing period. There’s also another, more lightweight plan, called Unlimited Choice that offers lower prices with lower speeds. Video is limited to 480p or 1.5Mbps, and overall data connections are maxed out at 3Mbps.
