Pineapple on pizza? Iceland's president backs down on controversial issue

Does pineapple belong on pizza? Definitely not, according to the president of Iceland. President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson recently said that he hates pineapple pizza so much that he would ban it if he could pass laws on his own. Later on he was forced to clarify his views late Tuesday on pineapple as a pizza topping. "I like pineapples, just not on Pizza. I do not have the power to make laws that forbid people to put pineapples on pizza. Presidents should not have unlimited power. I would not want to hold this position if I could pass laws forbidding what I don't like. I would not want to live in such a country." Jóhannesson wrote on Facebook
