Yes! Tom Hiddleston is finally explaining himself for that ridiculous I Heart T.S. tank top he wore during his brief relationship with Taylor Swift.

Everyone was thinking, wait, there’s no way this guy would seriously make that for himself after just a couple weeks into this relationship, right?

Well Hiddleston comes clean to GQ magazine and the 35-year-old actor confirms that it was just a joke. He tells the magazine, “The truth is it was the Fourth of July and public holiday and we were playing a game and I slipped and hurt my back… And I wanted to protect the graze from the sun and said, ‘Does anyone have a t-shirt?’ and one of her friends said, ‘I’ve got this.’”

Turned out to be more of an inside joke among friends there than any sort of affectionate puppy love gesture.

Now, the jokes on all of us who thought Hiddleston was serious.
